Elderly Advocacy Network (EAN)
AAA’s Legislative/Advocacy Committee created the Elderly Advocacy Network to advocate on behalf of senior adults in Dane County. Members include senior adults, Senior Focal Point/Senior Center staff, and community organizations serving seniors. EAN’s focus is to build a strong and cohesive group to contact public officials on issues of interest to the elderly population in Dane County. Action Alerts are emailed to EAN members with county, state, and federal legislative issues affecting seniors. When issues need action, the alerts will include recommended advocacy steps. To be added to the Elderly Advocacy Network, email aaa@danecounty.gov.
Wisconsin Aging Advocacy Network
The Wisconsin Aging Advocacy Network (WAAN) is a collaborative group of individuals and associations working with and for Wisconsin's older adults to shape public policy that improves the quality of life of older people throughout the state. WAAN educates both supporters and opponents, mobilizes allies on priority issues, and advocates positions utilizing the shared experience, knowledge, and constituencies of member organizations. AAA of Dane County is a Core Member of WAAN through the Wisconsin Association of Area Agencies on Aging (w4a).
