Vocational Services

A Place to Work (Day Support Program)

The purpose of this program is to develop and support daytime activities that have meaning to the adult with a developmental disability and enable him/her to make a contribution through work and to develop meaningful connections with community members.

In Dane County, vocational services are individualized and are developed in conjunction with the individual and their support team, e.g., support broker, guardian, parent, etc. Dane County’s vocational service options include community-based supported employment, pre-vocational services, day services, and supported self-employment (also known as micro-enterprise). Support for these services are provided by numerous Medicaid registered agencies.
