Older Adult Transportation Assistance Program

Description

The Older Adult Transportation Assistance Program serves rural adults aged 60 and over who live in their own homes or apartments. The program provides rides to appointments and services which enhance older adults' ability to remain independent and in their own homes. The service is door-to-door, and passengers are assisted with curbs and stairs. Vehicles are accessible. This is an individualized service. Service area is all of Dane County.

General Eligibility

Adults aged 60 and over and younger persons with disabilities who live in their own homes or apartments are eligible.

Cost

Passenger co-pay is based on ability to pay. Funding for this program is limited, and only rides which are not covered by other funding or ride programs are eligible.
