Medical Assistance Personal Care Program (MAPC)

Dane County Department of Human Services also offers the Medical Assistance Personal Care (MAPC) program to provide personal care services to Medical Assistance consumers who choose this option. MAPCservices include, bathing and dressing, as well as some light housekeeping that is directly related to the consumers' care. Personal Care services are supervised by a registered nurse.

General Eligibility

Services are typically provided to:

  • Dane County residents
  • Age 18 to 64
  • Who have a significant physical disability
  • Meet functional eligibility criteria
  • Meet financial eligibility criteria
Financial Eligibility

The Dane County Department of Human Services - STEPUnit assists adults with physical disabilities in applying for the Community Options Program, Food Share, and Medical Assistance throughout Dane County. Income and assets are taken into account and co-pay may be required. Please call (608) 242-7500 for more information.


Some services may require a co-pay.
